Make Up Art Portfolio (2012-)
Straight Make Up/Everyday Makeup
For this assignment, our teachers told us to make our faces over by using a character from any movie as a base or looks similar to us. Mine was Esmeralda from Disney's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"
Beard Make Up
This assignment speaks for itself. Our task was to make ourselves look manly with beards and my inspiration was the Sons of Anarchy bikers. Folks on campus actually thought I was a guy lol.
Clown Make Up
This one was fun. For this assignment we had to make ourselves look like clowns and we had to create our own look and not take the easy way out by using a well known clown face like the Sad Clown from Pagliacci, Heath Legend's Joker Clown face, etc... Mine has a fun, yet creepy and sad harlequin theme. What was also cool about this is when class ended, I walked around campus with this look and freaked out some of my friends lol.
Cuts and Bruises Make Up + Tattoos and Piercings
This one was my favorite! I was so excited to finally get to the cuts and bruises assignment because, what some folks might know, I'm a horror movie fan and I've always wanted to know the secrets behind creating such realistic, bloody, horrific affects. On top of that, we had to create our tattoos and do infected piercings. After class ended, I did walk around campus like this and when I got to the student union, the hang out spot for college students, I scared some of my friends and made one want to throw up lol. What was also funny about this is that it was April Fools Day!!!
Sore, strangled neck with bruised, infected lips and a bloody mouth.
Indian Burn on the arms
A gash on the forehead along with scrapes. Bruised eyes and a blood teary eye. We had the option to get blood drops in our eyes, to get that bloody eye affect and I said yes.
Damn that hurts!
Infected piercings on the ear. Don't worry all tattoos and piercings are fake lol.
The tattoo is rubbing alcohol based, so it was able to stay on for at least a week. All we had to do was color in the tattoo we chose.
Don't mess with me!!!
Drag/Restoration Make Up
For this assignment we had to make ourselves look like something out of the Victorian time or look like a Drag Queen (an option for the guys). I chose Victorian time since that's what the assignment was based upon.
An example of Restoration Make Up
Race Make Up
For this assignment we had to make ourselves look like a different nationality. I chose Ancient Egyptian because I've always wanted to try the Egyptian look ever since I saw "Cleopatra" the movie, "The Mummy Returns" and I did favor the head statue of Queen Nefertiti. During her time as queen, it was said that she was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Final Project Part 1: Latex
For the final project, Part 1 was we had to bring in a latex piece we were working on. They gave us the option to do hands but it had to be creative, not just a regular hand. I was trying to do a severed, frozen hand but latex can be very tricky, especially when you're trying to apply it with one hand. So what happened was when the latex started to dry up, it left lumps and I accidentally moved my hand at times while trying to apply the latex. It looked like torn muscle tissue so I got inspired to approach this project in a different way and what popped in my head was "Radioactive hand." So I did some research and Lord and behold there were photos that matched a lot of the project's physical traits. And there you have it: "Radioactive Hand." P.S. This project grossed my mom out lol.
Final Project Part 2: Famous Person
Part 2 of the final project was to make ourselves look like a celebrity/famous person, of our choice, that doesn't quite resemble our original look/face. I chose Ms. Gina Lollobrigida, an Italian actress.
HD and Medical Make Up
For this assignment, instead of make ourselves over, we had to partner up with another classmate and do each other's makeup. This was a 2 part assignment. The first part was that we had to make each other look HD and the second part is that we had to make each other look like ER patients. The teachers had already chose for us the medical problem we had to illustrate. For my partner, he was shot in the neck and in the right side of his rib cage.

Middle Aged Make Up
This assignment was after the straight make up assignment and the project was to make ourselves look middle aged or at least look like our parents. So I chose to try to resemble my mom's face.

Old Age Make Up
For this assignment we had to make ourselves look old and find an inspiration to help create our image of old age. My inspiration was the late Maya Angelou because she's a woman of wisdom and she ages gracefully.
Fantasy Make Up
This was another assignment that I loved. For this assignment, we had to think: "if we went to Comic Con, what character would we go as?" Well, during that time I was watching Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero online so I chose to dress like Serena. I chose Serena because she's tough and even though she's part witch, she's not evil. She's just trying to fight evil.
Animal (Print) Make Up
For this assignment, we had to turn our faces into an animal's face. I chose the white tiger.
Halloween Makeup: Harley Quinn 2013
For Halloween, instead of buying a costume, I had decided to design my own costume. I decided to go with Harley Quinn. It took me nearly a month in a half to complete the costume but I got it done before the dead line (no pun intended). The outfit was hand crocheted by me and as style goes, I wanted to put my own spin on the image of Harley Quinn and by doing so, I was able to research every look and every outfit she wore over the years in the comics and games. Then I added a little extra. I decided to do the skirt and tank top two toned, give the character finger less gloves with diamonds, knee high heels and for the hair, instead of two pony tails, I gave the character's look two hair buns with hair sticks. I wanted to go with the hair sticks because I was loving the hair sticks style. The makeup, I wanted to keep the clown theme but give it a fashionable look: "Clown Couture."
Mommy and Me (2014)
These were taken on August 3rd, my parent's anniversary, and we were heading out to celebrate. Before we left, my mom asked me to do her make up. She loved it :) After I did her make up, I made myself over, as well.
